Panther Metals Plc (LSE: PALM) has reported encouraging Phase 1 magnesium recovery results from its Dotted Lake Project in Ontario, Canada. Preliminary metallurgical testwork using the Extrakt™️ leaching technology achieved cumulative magnesium recovery of approximately 38%, significantly exceeding the 19–25% ceiling observed during conventional single-stage leaching. The results establish an important baseline for further process development, with Panther now looking towards additional metallurgical testing, reagent management optimisation and techno-economic evaluation. The Dotted Lake ultramafic intrusive also contains elevated nickel, cobalt, chromium and other critical elements that could potentially be investigated as future by-products.
