StockBox Market Pulse: Aquis 2025 Highlights🔔

StockBox had the pleasure of attending the 2025 Aquis Stock Exchange Showcase on Wednesday, held at the Royal College of Surgeons in London.
 
Now in its fourth year, the event has become a standout fixture in the small-cap calendar, offering a great opportunity to hear directly from Aquis-listed companies and speak with management teams, investors, and industry professionals.
 
The event opened with an economic update from Simon French, chief economist at Panmure Liberum. His presentation covered the current global macro backdrop, the pressures facing the UK economy, and the potential impact of the upcoming Budget. With markets receiving mixed messages on where things are heading, it was a timely overview that helped frame the rest of the day’s discussions.

Attention then shifted to the main element of the Showcase - the company pitches.
 
Each of the presenting businesses had eight minutes to outline their story, followed by a brief Q&A. Attendees voted on which was their favourite, with the top three advancing to a final round judged by a panel that included StockBox regular Gervais Williams of Premier Miton.
 
This year’s presenters represented a broad slice of the Aquis market:

• Ajax Resources: A mineral exploration business preparing to drill its Eureka copper-gold project in Argentina.

• B HODL: A UK-based Bitcoin treasury and services company generating revenue through Lightning Network activity.

• Equipmake: A British engineering firm specialising in electric powertrains and energy-storage systems.

• Incanthera: A therapeutics company developing targeted delivery technologies in dermatology and oncology.

• Inqo Investments: A Cape Town-based social impact investor focused on poverty reduction and environmental sustainability.

• Intelliam AI: A software company using machine-learning analytics to improve productivity in manufacturing environments.

• Newbury Racecourse: A year-round horseracing, hospitality, and events business based in Berkshire.

• Oberon Investment Group: A boutique financial services company offering investment management, wealth planning, and advisory services.

• Sulnox: A greentech developer working on fuel-emulsifier technologies that aim to reduce emissions and maintenance costs.

• The Smarter Web Company: A web-design agency and the largest Bitcoin holder among UK-listed companies.

• Time to ACT: An engineering group supporting the energy transition through its Diffusion Alloys and GreenSpur divisions.

 
The variety—spanning technology, mining, finance, healthcare, sustainability, and digital assets—speaks to how much Aquis has broadened in recent years.
 
After voting and final judging, the overall winner of the 2025 Showcase was B HODL. Congratulations to CEO Freddie New and the team on a well-deserved result.
 
All in all, the event underlined the momentum building behind Aquis. The depth of companies presenting, the level of engagement in the room, and the professionalism across the board suggest an exchange quietly strengthening its position in the UK PLC world.
