On the Ground at SMI Zurich—What Investors Need to Know

Our Head of Content, Mark Fairbairn, has just returned from the Swiss Mining Institute’s latest conference in Zurich in what proved to be a very valuable few days on the ground.

Set against a stunning backdrop, the event brought together a wide range of mining companies, investors, and industry experts, with a packed schedule of presentations, meetings, and panel discussions.

Importantly, the tone was highly constructive.

While geopolitical tensions in the Middle East remain front of mind, the consensus across discussions was that these are short-term variables within a much broader, longer-term commodities bull market.

A particular highlight was the two panels Mark chaired.

The first, “Thriving in the Commodities Bull Market,” explored everything from the outlook for gold and silver amid geopolitical uncertainty to the importance of staying patient through periods of volatility. Contributors included:
